I’m an engineering leader at Agility Robotics, where I work on the infrastructure that lets a fleet of humanoid robots operate reliably in the real world.
My focus is the intersection of platform engineering, robotics infrastructure, and security — a niche that doesn’t have many practitioners, which means most of the problems are genuinely new. We run Kubernetes on robots that walk, manage cloud-to-edge identity systems for devices that go offline, build multi-region AWS architectures for global deployments, and try to give software engineers the same experience working on robot software as they’d have writing a cloud service.
Before Agility, I spent time across cloud infrastructure, platform, and security roles. I care about building systems that are operationally honest — not just technically elegant — and about growing engineering teams that can reason clearly about hard problems.
What I write about
- Robotics infrastructure — K8s at the edge, offline authentication, fleet management, OTA updates
- Platform engineering — Internal developer platforms, GitOps, build vs. buy, team architecture
- Cloud & security — AWS networking, IAM, zero-trust in constrained environments
- Engineering leadership — Architecture decisions, team structure, hiring, technical strategy
